Another month with no wins for me. Oh well. Maybe October. Last October I was favored to win with "Live From New York" but didn't because I assume the voters didn't want to create a double BOTM winner so early in the contest.
Congratulations to most winners, especially Maia for a very deserving win for Best Author! I completely disagree with the Bait of the Month, "Cinemateque", but shit happens.
I apologize to anybody who was looking forward to my commentary for September's contest. I just started my Sophomore year at college and have been swamped with work. In addition to that, I seem to have lost interest in some of the contest because, as most of you have noticed, I feel the bait quality is getting worse and worse.
For October, I hope to be vying for my 2nd BOTM with "The Road We Traveled", which is bound to become controversial because of its pro-drug use plotline. I do want to say that it should be considered a Comedy for the Golden Globes, but it's really a dramedy. My other bait "The Dead President" is aimed to garner acting attention but I wouldn't fight against Best Picture notices for it.
As the next contest begins, I will be giving reviews during the next week but I will only do 5, so get them in soon. If anybody else wants to read or review my baits for their blogs (I expect you to do so if I'm doing it for you) I will send them. Good luck in October!

Hey Pat, I would reall like to know why you strongly disagree, I'm not whining is just that I deeply respect you as an author and I really value your opinion and would like some criticism from your part.
Yo Pat, if you'd like I will send you my early draft of my next bait. Just send me a line at:
zgamer@cableone.net
Okay first off, know Pat I respect you tremendously as a writer and admire your work. With that said, I'll say what is on my mind:
Will you please stop your whining and complaining about how things didn't go your way. Your depressed because you didn't win an award?!?! Some people work really hard in this contest and dont even get nominated. You seem to think its your right to win at least one award when other people just want a single person to actually like their bait. Next, that comment you made about about being favored to win for LfNY and not winning "because I assume the voters didn't want to create a double BOTM winner so early in the contest" is one of the most egotistical comments I have ever heard in my life. That fact that you think you didn't win for that reason blows my mind. Did you think for one moment that maybe Fosse and the other 5 baits that came ahead of you were just better? Then, How can you say "Congratulations to most winners"? Why can't you just be happy for everyone that won even if you feel they shouldn't have won? Your opinion isn't the only one that matters in this contest. Last, stop bitching about how you feel the quality of baits is getting worse and worse. We get it! Most authors seem to disagree with you though because baits reviews have just been getting better and better. Don't try to argue that point cause the facts are on my side.
With that said, I look forward to reading "The Road We Traveled." It seems like a great bait
Well, on a lighter note, looks like it will be an interesting competition next month. Again Pat, I am willing to send an advanced copy of my bait if you want to review it.
To Alex-
I found "Cinemateque" to be quite boring even though I was familiar with the story.
To Zgamer-
I sent you an email.
To Ryne-
This is my blog and I will say what I want, when I want. Okay? If I want to bitch about things over and over again then I will. You don't have to read it. That's why I created a blog. So I could say the things that I couldn't say on the forums. I don't care if it hurts anybody's feelings or is inappropriate, it is what I believe to be the truth. And if this article hurts my chances next month then I will most likely leave the contest. I'm not saying that if I lose BOTM I'm gonna quit. That's not it. I mean that if I notice that people are angry at me and are taking it out on my baits, then I have every right to leave, just like have a right to say whatever the fuck I want.
Just so you know, I have no intention of grading your bait differently based on this article
I actually thought I was favored to win that month with The Bang-Bang Club. lol. I didn't take Pat's frowny face or signs of depressiveness seriously on this post. It was actually very positive apart from the first paragraph and the huge frowny face. The rest was congratulatory. I think we all feel our baits are better than some that get rewarded. And not to mention this is his blog. He could have spewed out racial slurs if he wanted to. I just think that if you don't think your bait is the best, it probably isn't going to win. It's an important sort of mentality to have while writing. I disagree Pat on Cinematheque. It's got baitiness up the wazoo. Good luck y'all. I still have yet to write a bait for October. Peace out.
Your blog is not covering your thoughts on the contest; it's covering how you think you're better than anyone else, how you think the new baits suck, how you think that you're the best writer in the contest and how everyone reads your baits with bias. You could have just said "congratulations to the winners" instead of "most winners", and what the hell was with your Live From New York deal? It's possible that, at the time, there were 6 baits that the voters liked more than Live From New York, okay? I understand that it's your blog and all, but you advertise it on the forums and want readers, so you cannot say whatever you want. If you do want to say whatever, then keep a private blog (there are ways to make it so that no one can see it) and don't advertise it. Does that take away the point? Yes. So, like it or not, you are writing to amuse us.
And by the way, you win Oscars all the time on the site, so try accepting loss once in a while. And as Ryne said, don't try starting an argument with "this is my blog and I can say whatever the fuck I want", because we both know that this was a mean-spirited post that you wrote because you wanted...I don't know.
hey Pat, I'd love you to do an early review of Thoroughly Modern Millie. I don't think it's my best bait, but it's fun. my email is michael@brungerfamily.com
